Rainbow Mountain ATV Full Day

The ATV tour to the Red Valley and the Colored Mountain starts in the morning ( 3:30 a.m. or 4:00 a.m.), with pick up at Cusco’s Main Square or at your hotel (by previous arrangement).

We travel  2 hours to Cusicapata to have breakfast, and then continue  1 hour more to the base at Japura (Pitumarca).

There you will receive a brief instruction on how to use the ATVs and a  15-minute practice session before starting the  1-hour ride.

During the trip, stops are made to appreciate the red river, snow-capped mountains, local communities and Andean animals, with time for photos.

At the end of the ATV circuit, we arrive at the Red Valley, from where we walk to the viewpoint (5036 m.a.s.l.).

Then you continue walking to the Red Valley and walk  45 to 60 minutes to the Colored Mountain (Vinicunca), where the guide will explain the significance of the site and you will have free time for photos.

Finally, we walk back to the Red Valley and descend by ATV to the base, and then head to Cusicapata for  1 hour more for our included lunch, after which we will return to Cusco by tourist transport. The tour ends near the Plaza de Armas.
