3:50am to 4:30am we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco and begin our journey to the breathtaking scenery of Pallay Punchu. Are you ready to discover the new mountain of the Seven Colors?
After an hour and a half drive, we will make our first stop at a restaurant in the town of Collca, where you can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast that will prepare you for the adventure. After getting your strength back, we will continue for two more hours through the foothills of the Langui Lagoon until we reach the district of Layo, a perfect place to take some pictures before continuing.
Just 15 minutes by car from Layo, is the point where we will begin our hike to the Pallay Punchu. Did you know that its name means “colorful poncho”? Its striking tones mimic the tones of the stripes.

During the trekking route, which can last between 45 minutes and two hours depending on the state of the ground, we will be delighted with the spectacular landscapes of the mountains of Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tacllo and Condorsllana, surrounded by an imposing nature. Upon reaching the highest part of the route, known as Condor Sayana, at 4850 meters above sea level, you will enjoy an unparalleled view of the districts of Layo and Langui, with their communities scattered around the majestic lagoon and the Tres Caños de Suykutambo mountain range. Get ready to capture some unforgettable photos!
After exploring Pallay Punchu, we will head back to Cusco. On the way, we will stop again in the town of Collca to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Finally, we will arrive in Cusco after 14 hours of activity and we will say goodbye in the Plaza Regocijo.
This tour includes pick up from hotels near Cusco’s Main Square. If you are staying outside this area, we will contact you after booking to arrange an alternative meeting point.
